8ACOLONY San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railroad Bodie and Benton Railroad

The San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway
Part 1 of the Ghost Rails Series for MSTS

The SDAE is a short-line American railroad originally founded in 1906 by entrepreneur John D Spreckels (As in Spreckels Sugar.) It's nickname is "The Impossible Railroad" because many of the engineers of its day considered it impossible to build. For a complete History, see the Wikipedia entry for the San Diego and Arizona Railway.

My version of the SD&AE for MSTS extends the entire 148 Mile (238 km) Route from San Diego to El Centro. (Although the scenery is a bit sparse in Northern San Diego) The Geography for this Scenery was created using real-world  Digital Elevation Maps provided by the US Geological Survey.
